PSA for APICYFC

I have completed a PSA I directed for The Asian Pacific Islander Children Youth & Family Council. The PSA will be airing on local television for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The purpose of the PSA is to help Asian Pacific Islander families reach out for help. Traditionally there has been a reluctance to ask for help with family issues and the council hopes to change that.

Kelly & Duc Engagement: Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel








Kelly and Duc are to be married June 5th of this year. We shot their engagement at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and on Salt Creek Beach. Kelly and Duc were easy to photograph and I look forward to shooting the wedding in June.

Razi Winery


I had the pleasure of photographing Razi Wineries a few weeks ago. Razi is a small winery located in the Napa Valley. I was given a half day to photograph the vineyards and the tasting room. This is a great example of a micro budget advertising shoot. I did not have any assistants and only a few hours in which to shoot mostly with natural lighting and small battery strobes. I wanted bright, colorful and fresh images so I used the natural light and opened my primes up wide to get some dramatic shallow focus in the bright vineyards.

LASEC & Sidley Sports

The LASEC (LA Sports & Entertainment Commission) and Sidley Austin Sports have hired me to provide green screen photo promotions for their three annual events: The golf tournament at Riveria Country Club, the Lakers 101 and NFL 101 events. The events have been a lot of fun and we have had a good time creating fun interactive sports designs as well.

I have been shooting for the city of Lancaster for the past year. Lancaster is a forward thinking modern city about 45 miles north of the valley experiencing tremendous growth. I am shooting for the various publications and brochures the city produces as well as some news related events.

Capturing the Decisive Moment (or Moments)





I have said before on this blog that the two most important tools are feet and eyes and this is true. It helps to have a fast professional camera as well though. Here is a series of photos from a garter toss. He didn't even get the garter- single guy wedding attendees be warned he is out there and he wants that garter!!
